James B. Duke Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics at Duke University

Dan Ariely is a renowned behavioral economist and three-time New York Times bestselling author, known for works like Predictably Irrational and The Honest Truth About Dishonesty. He is a leading voice in the field of human decision-making. Dan also co-founded the Center for Advanced Hindsight and ventures such as BEworks and Irrational Labs, where he applies behavioral science to real-world challenges across business, policy, and design.

Tiphani Palmer is an executive coach and co-owner of Leadership Embodiment, integrating somatic intelligence into leadership development. With over 20 years of experience and a 2nd-degree black belt in Aikido, she blends mindfulness, movement, and neuroscience to elevate leadership presence. Integral Executive Coach & Leadership Development

Tierney Powers is an executive coach and leadership development specialist with over 15 years of international experience. She combines expertise in go-to-market strategy, customer experience, and SaaS with a deep focus on somatic intelligence and conscious leadership. Tierney has facilitated programs for organizations including Stanford University, and has coached leaders across sectors in neuroscience-based leadership embodiment and the Enneagram.

A Destination Designed for Transformation

The Future Village™ program takes place in the region of Évora, Portugal, a UNESCO World Heritage site 

Just under a 2 hour drive from Lisbon, one of Europe’s top cities to visit for culture, innovation, and quality of life, we can find Évora, Alentejo, a place with a very different rhythm of leadership: slower, deeper, and more intentional.

We chose the Alentejo region, not only for its stunning landscapes, history and gastronomic mind blowing experiences but because it's the right place for reflection and leaders ready to evolve.

At the heart of it all is our venue: the historic Hotel Convento de São Paulo. Once a 12th-century monastery, today it’s a living sanctuary of architecture and nature.

This is not a retreat. This is where leaders come to grow their human edge to thrive in an AI and technological world.

    • Arrive, unplug, and settle into a space designed for pause and perspective.

    • Welcome, orientation, and context-setting: why human capacity is the foundation for modern leadership.

    • Evening session with cohort and mentors.

    • Slow down to sense: explore the body's role in stress, clarity, and resilience.

    • Experiential leadership practices for presence, self-regulation, and embodied decision-making.

    • Introduction to systems thinking and momentum: working with complexity instead of controlling it.

    •  Practice adaptive strategies and design new ways of thinking with peer input  

    • Strategic sensing and reflective dialogue around real-world leadership challenges.

    • Reflect, regroup, and translate insight into meaningful action

    • Design your personal leadership compass, with feedback and closure from the group

    3. Engage in hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, and thought-provoking exercises.

    4. Walk away with frameworks, habits, and strategic tools you can apply immediately, designed to strengthen your leadership in the face of technological disruption and a growing systemic complexity.

  • The Future Village™ is open to individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common drive for learning, transformation, and impact. 

    The program is designed for business leaders, entrepreneurs, changemakers and heads of product divisions, geographical regions, or major business units with at least 5 years of senior executive experience.
